Heritage Learning launched a brand new curriculum for Hull, commissioned by more than 40 primary schools in the city and devised with key partners in advance of the city receiving City of Culture status in 2017. The Hull Curriculum will be taught using a bespoke digital learning platform, which will enable teachers to bring the 20 key ‘histories’ to life through images, videos and audio footage.
I was commissioned by Heritage Learning to create 20 illustrations, each bringing one of the key histories to life for the children in Hull’s primary schools.
“We couldn’t be more delighted with Abi’s outstanding illustrations, they have played a key role in the success of our Hull Curriculum project, becoming central to the brand and providing a meaningful and engaging interface between the audience and our project’s stories and messages. Feedback has been superb, adults and children alike love the illustrations. Abi responded very well to the brief, meeting all requirements in a very short timescale. Communications were excellent throughout and Abi was always friendly, approachable and patient. During development we were provided with plenty of opportunities to review drawings, ensuring outputs and formats met project requirements. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Abi, her work and approach is of the highest standard.”
