The Quilt Museum & Art Gallery commissioned a series of illustrations to accompany its ‘Setting the Scene’ exhibition. Setting the Scene featured costume from popular period television shows and films including Downton Abbey and the BBC production of Pride & Prejudice.
“Abi created some excellent illustrations based on film and television costumes we were exhibiting in the galleries. These provided the basis for some children’s activity worksheets, which allowed our younger visitors to engage with our exhibitions in a fun and entertaining way. Abi was a joy to work with, and I had every confidence that, from a minimal brief, the results would be exactly what we needed. They represent the historic costumes accurately, providing the correct silhouette and features appropriate to the period, as well as capturing the character wearing them. We are very happy with the illustrations, which have a great charm and appeal to our adult audience as well as our intended younger visitors.”
