I was asked by York Castle Museum to create a series of characters, each one wearing a costume on display at the museum. My illustrations were printed on perforated cards and hidden near the corresponding costumes. Visitors were encouraged to follow clues and collect all the cards. When all of the cards were collected, participants presented them to staff, who would bind them into a book. With the perforations torn, a match and muddle book was created, with fun to be had mixing up characters’ costumes.
