I am an illustrator specialising in fun, educational illustrations for the heritage sector.
Having worked in the sector for some time as a museum professional, I try to ensure that my illustrations are not only lively and engaging but also historically accurate.
I have been commissioned by galleries, museums and heritage sites all over the UK, including the Museum of London, the National Maritime Museum and York Museums Trust. Read more about my clients.
My illustrations have been used for a variety of purposes, including:
- Family trails
- Exhibition captions for children
- Illustrated maps
- Educational resources
- Activity sheets
- Marketing materials
- Animated videos
- Life sized character cut outs!
Before becoming a professional illustrator, I worked with collections in museums and galleries across the north of England, including Sheffield Galleries & Museums Trust, York Museums Trust and Hull Museums. I also spent two years as the Editor of Young Archaeologist Magazine.
I have an MA in Museum Studies from the University of Newcastle, a degree in History of Art from the University of York and an Art & Design Foundation BTEC Diploma.
I’m based in York.
If you are planning your own project then do feel free to contact me to discuss your requirements and the commissioning process.
